Our shadow projection dance installation combines innovative projection technology with live performance to create a captivating visual experience within your event venue.

More than simply booking a dancer, this is a complete digital performance installation featuring a large back-projection wall, specialist cameras, projectors, software, technical production and a dedicated technician. It’s a striking addition to our wider technology entertainment offering, bringing digital innovation together with live performance.

A professional shadow projection dancer performs three 10-minute shows, using movement and silhouette alongside generative digital effects to create a mesmerising performance. Between shows, the dancer can also host the installation and encourage guests to engage with the experience.

Six visual effects are included as standard, including fire, ice, water and geometric shapes. A logo or custom message can also be displayed when the installation is in standby mode.

For a more bespoke experience, additional options are available at an extra cost. Existing visuals can be customised with different colours, while completely bespoke graphics and custom themed or styled dance shows can also be developed around your brand, event theme or creative concept.

Generative reactive sound is available as an additional option, further enhancing the connection between movement, sound and digital visuals.

This makes the digital dance performance particularly suited to brand activations and product launches, where entertainment can be designed to complement a wider creative concept.

    How Does a Shadow Projection Dance Installation Work?

    A shadow projection dance installation is a physical digital installation built within your event venue, with scheduled live dance performances taking place as part of the experience.

    A large back-projection wall is installed using 3D cameras, 5K projectors, computers, signal equipment and specialist software. The installation remains physically in place throughout the event, allowing it to function as a visual feature between scheduled performances and form part of wider event attractions.

    During the digital shadow dance show, the dancer performs on the opposing side of the projection surface, combining their movement and silhouette with the digital effects to create a striking projection dance performance.

    The standard booking includes three 10-minute dance performances and up to six hours of running time. Between shows, the dancer can host the installation and encourage guests to interact with the visual environment.

    This is an installed digital performance environment with scheduled live dance shows – not simply a dancer performing in front of a screen.

    The installation requires approximately 4–5 hours for setup and system calibration. Controlled lighting is required, and direct daylight should not fall onto the installation. Where possible, a corner position is recommended.

    Pipe and drape may also be required depending on the venue and installation space. A PA system and music are not included as standard and will need to be provided or arranged separately where required.

    Can a Shadow Projection Dance Show Be Bespoke To Your Event?

    Yes. The visuals and performance can be tailored to complement your event, brand or creative concept.

    The six existing generative effects are included as standard, alongside logo or custom messaging in standby mode. Additional bespoke options are available at an extra cost, including customised colours, completely bespoke digital visuals and custom themed or styled dance shows.

    A bespoke digital shadow dance show can be developed around a particular theme, style or creative direction, while generative reactive sound is also available as an optional enhancement.

    These bespoke options make the Digital Dance Performance particularly suited to brand activations, product launches and corporate events where entertainment needs to complement a wider creative direction.
