This long-term client of ours (over 12 years) approached us to create an extraordinary 60th birthday celebration at their house on the Isle of Wight.
They requested a daytime into evening event with a relaxed atmosphere during the day for families and friends to take part in sports day activities, and then go into a full-blown evening event with theming, production, entertainment, and wow-factor!
They also requested camping arrangements for the evening and night prior to the event, followed by a brunch the following day of the event – totalling a 3-day event across three separate locations.
All of which we had full control over, handling the logistics, creating the concepts and putting everything in place with the client wanting to be surprised on the day of the event!
We were given just under five weeks turnaround time for planning the event, with a guest website needing to be produced and issued to the guests to plan the event effectively.

The event required careful consideration of the location’s possibilities and limitations, including tides and weather backup plans with it being an outdoor event on the coastline.
The event was unique due to the limited population and suppliers on the island, requiring logistics coordination for transportation via ferries.
The concept and event design were created to suit the landscape, with daytime activities in the optimal location and the evening section near the coastline for the wow-factor.
Key challenges for our experienced event company included working with new suppliers, logistical issues on the island, and managing the landscape’s slope and limited flat space.
Entertainment and activities were unique and personalised, providing sports day activities and themed entertainment in the daytime part of the event.
In the evening, we designed and produced a bespoke 3D mapping show highlighting key areas of the client’s life, and surprise elements related to the client’s interests!
The event involved multiple locations, multiple days, and over 200 guests, with guest management, accommodation, and vetting of external suppliers being crucial.
Our expertise was demonstrated by delivering a complex event within a tight timeframe, maintaining communication and trust with the client, and providing surprises that delighted the client.
The client and guests were overjoyed with the event, with guests praising it as one of the best parties they had attended.
