Dance away your recession blues with the Urban Soul Orchestra 20 piece Swing Band, featuring a String Quartet, Vocal Duo, a 4 Piece Live Band and 9-piece Horn Section. Our Orchestra performs your favourite swing classics including Glenn Miller, Frank Sinatra, Louis Armstrong and Nat King Cole.
The Urban Soul Orchestra Swing Band musicians are of an amazing pedigree who between the band have performed and recorded with most of the major artists and musicians of our time (we tried to write a list but it got ridiculous!). Some of the Artists the players currently work with include Professor Green, Incognito and The Jools Holland Rhythm & Blues Orchestra. A choice of vocalists to front the band includes Steve Brookstein, winner of the first X Factor and his wife Eileen Hunter
The Swing Band can also play an instrumental set to warm up the crowd, featuring classics from films, musicals and the golden age of song, from Andrew Lloyd Webber’s Phantom of the Opera to George Gershwin’s Porgy and Bess. Songs by modern-day swingers such as Robbie Williams and Michael Buble also make an appearance in this all-star line-up. Our full Swing band can be hired for events across London and the UK.
