ABOUT OUR GIANT PUPPET HIRE

With more than twenty years of international stage experience, our giant puppet hire brings together illuminated puppetry, live music, movement and visual storytelling to create a spectacular sense of scale.

The standard production features three different characters played one after another by five animators and one musician. Larger productions can involve up to 20 animators and five musicians, depending on the scale and requirements of your event.

Our illuminated puppet show is ideal for corporate celebrations, gala dinners, festivals, parades, opening ceremonies, product launches and large-scale public events. Our giant walkabout puppets can also form part of wider festival entertainment, walkabout entertainment or parade entertainment, creating an interactive spectacle as the puppets move amongst guests.

For brands, bespoke productions can incorporate custom characters, branded logos and special props such as balloons, flowers and tools. This makes the act particularly effective for brand activations, where the visual impact can be developed around a specific campaign or brand identity.

Productions can also be enhanced with additional musicians, a full live band, interactive laser show or interactive drone show, with wider event production helping to bring the overall experience together.

    How long is the performance?

    Available formats include a 20-minute show with two further appearances during the event, a 20-minute show with two 30-minute walkabout performances, or three 30-minute walkabout sets.

    How many performers are required?

    The standard configuration includes five animators and one musician, with larger productions scalable to up to 20 animators and five musicians. A full live band can also be added for larger productions.

    Can the act be booked as both a stage show and walkabout act?

    Yes. The performance can be delivered as a choreographed stage show, roaming walkabout entertainment or a combination of both.

    What events are giant light puppets suitable for?

    Giant puppets for events are suitable for major festivals, corporate events, product launches, opening ceremonies and public celebrations, with previous performances including EXPO Dubai, the Olympic Games London and Festival of Lights Berlin.

    Can the performance be customised for brands?

    Yes. Bespoke productions can incorporate branded logos, special props and customised concepts designed around your event objectives, making the act particularly suitable for brand activations.

    What additional production options can be added?

    Options include additional animators and musicians, a full live band, interactive laser show and interactive drone show.

    Giant Puppet Hire Technical and Venue Requirements

    The act requires suitable access, space and infrastructure due to the scale of the puppets.

    The stated minimum performance space is 4m x 6m, while an 8m x 6m stage area is required when the act is being delivered as a stage show.

    Walkways should be at least 2m wide with smooth surfaces, while puppet transportation requires passages measuring at least 1.2m x 2.5m.

    Indoor performances require ceiling heights of 3.2m, 5m or 8m, depending on the puppet configuration selected.

    Outdoor performances require smooth surfaces and, for night performances, dark surroundings. Heavy rainfall is unsuitable for outdoor performances. The puppets can enter through a passageway at least 2.5m wide or from behind a partition.

    A backstage area of at least 5m x 2m is required for puppet preparation, with approximately 30 minutes needed before the performance. Wardrobe space for six people and a suitable public address system are also required.
