Retro 1960’s Themed Event At The London BT Tower
As an events agency, we’re no strangers to hosting extraordinary events in unique venues…the iconic BT Tower in London is no exception!
We organised a unique retro-style event for a private client that would transport everyone back in time.
Our client had an existing relationship with the venue, but booked us to transform it into a retro-themed event from the 1960s and 70s, embracing the spirit of retro and pop culture like never before.
The Purpose: An Event To Remember
Our client, who had a long-standing relationship with the BT Tower, wanted to throw an event that would be remembered for decades to come.
With their trust in us to handle everything bar the venue booking – we provided full event design and production services along with event management, entertainment, catering and more.
We were excited to create this unique and spectacular event!
Creating The Concept: A Nostalgic Journey
The client saw our previous Woodstock event and liked the theme and style, so we proposed a 1960s and 70s retro-themed event.
We put a few designs together and the client was happy with the proposal, so we got to work!
Bespoke Invitations and Posters
To get some excitement going around the event, we designed some bespoke invitations and posters to showcase the event:
We designed the invitations in-house and printed them out to send out to all of the guests who were invited to the event.
Transforming The BT Tower Venue
The venue as it is provides some fantastic views of London, we just wanted to enhance the interior space to reflect the theme and feel we wanted to create.
We designed a range of bespoke set design, props and decorations to create the 60s and 70s feel inside the venue:
We created a range of bespoke set designs including TV sets that played content from the 60’s and 70’s to immerse the guests fully into the theme.
The BT Tower’s 360-degree view of London provided a breathtaking backdrop, enhancing the overall experience.
Our team had limited time to do a turnaround of the venue.
Themed Entertainment and Catering To Match
To fully immerse guests in the theme and feel of the event, we also provided a range of entertainment including the iconic James Bond villain, Blofeld:
His presence at the event added a touch of intrigue and drama that guests couldn’t resist.
To enhance the theme and retro-style, we brought in a DJ who spun classic tracks from the 60s and 70s.
For those who preferred live music, a fantastic band took the stage, delivering iconic hits that had the dance floor bustling.
In terms of catering, the food and drinks were carefully selected to complement the theme.
The menu featured a blend of retro and contemporary dishes, with signature cocktails that transported guests back in time.
The Result: A Time-Traveling Success
The retro-themed birthday party at the BT Tower was a huge success!
