Simple Life Ice Cream Dash 2021 Community Event
Another season and another exciting and successful event with Simple Life completed by our event managers!
Over the last 8 days, we’ve been running the extremely popular ice cream dash event. This event involves us branding up an ice cream van with Simple Life signage and touring across the country, handing out ice cream to all of the simple life residents.
In total, we visited 47 sites up and down the country, from Bradford to Bury St Edmunds, Salford to Harlow. Travelling in excess of 750 miles over the 8 day period.
We incorporated Simple Life’s brand colour into the soft serve making it on brand.
Having run this event before, many of the residents knew about the ice cream dash. Therefore, they were very excited about their free ice creams. This year in particular has been our best year yet, serving a total of 2,500 households and around 10,000 ice creams!

There were so many highlights from this event. From meeting and chatting to the wonderful simple life tenants. To meeting lots of furry friends, and even having a guest appearance from an enthusiastic T-Rex!
One of the things we love most about running community events like these is being able to meet the local community. It is really rewarding to see that our events bring people together and put smiles on lots of faces.
Additionally, seeing Simple Life grow as a brand and having the opportunity to visit more communities has been really enjoyable from an event managers perspective.
Furthermore, seeing tenants queuing come rain or shine was a great sight to see.
We can’t wait to create more events like this for Simple Life throughout the year. For the last half of 2021, we will be running both a pizza night and a Christmas parade. These, like the ice cream events, will tour around the 57 simple life sites.
