10 Unique Bespoke Entertainment and Show Ideas To Elevate Your Event
Most event entertainment is chosen from a list. You browse a catalogue, pick an act that fits the budget, and slot it into the running order. It works, and it is often exactly what an event needs.
But some nights carry more weight than others. The opening of a flagship venue. The product your team has spent two years building. The ceremony people will still be talking about in ten years’ time. When the room matters that much, a single act rarely carries the moment on its own.
That is where bespoke entertainment earns its place. A bespoke production is not simply a more expensive performer. It is a show designed backwards from your objective, where two or more acts are staged, scored, and choreographed to work as one piece.
Our team at Julia Charles Event Management designs and produces these shows in house. That is what separates custom made event entertainment from a standard booking: we can pair acts that have never shared a stage and build the production around them.
Below are ten of our favourite combinations, counting down to the one we are proudest of.

What Is Bespoke Entertainment?
Bespoke entertainment is live performance designed or adapted for one client rather than booked from a fixed catalogue.
Costumes carry your colours, the music is scored to your brand, and the choreography is built around your venue and your reveal. Bespoke performers rehearse to that brief rather than repeating a set routine, so the whole piece exists only for your event.
The distinction that matters most, though, is not the act itself. It is the production layer sitting underneath it.
Two performers standing on the same stage are two bookings. Two performers sharing a lighting plot, a timecode, a sound design and a choreographed arc are a show. That layer — the rigging, the lighting and AV, the set and stage design, the rehearsal time — is what turns a line-up into one of our bespoke production shows.

It also means bespoke is a process rather than a category of performer. Almost any act in our entertainment catalogue can become part of a bespoke production. What changes is how it is staged, what it is paired with, and what it has been asked to say about your brand.
It is worth knowing that custom performance hire is quoted differently from a standard booking for exactly that reason. With custom made event entertainment, you are paying for design and rehearsal time as much as for stage time.
You can see the full range on our bespoke shows and productions page. There are multiple dance shows, magic shows, music shows, and much more to choose from.
Our Top Bespoke Production Shows
Every one of the bespoke production shows below pairs at least two acts. That is deliberate.
The interesting creative question is rarely “which act should we book?” It is “what happens when these two share a stage?” Each of the following combinations produces something neither performer delivers alone — greater scale, a stronger emotional arc, or a reveal that lands harder because two disciplines hit the same beat at the same second.
10. Drone Shows with Aerial Performers
Most outdoor spectacles ask your guests to look up and stay there. This one gives their eyes somewhere to travel.
A fleet of drones paints logos, shapes and messages across the night sky while an Aerial Violinist performs suspended beneath them, playing live against the display. The sightline runs from a single human performer at fifteen metres up to a formation stretching across the horizon. Bespoke performers working at that height are rigged, rehearsed and signed off weeks before the show.
What makes it work is the scoring. Our Drone Shows are programmed to a timecode, so the violinist is not accompanying the drones — the drones are choreographed to the violinist. Formations resolve on the phrase endings, and your brand reveal lands on the final note.
There are plenty of such aerial and airborne entertainment ideas that you can choose from.
Ideal for
- Outdoor brand reveals
- Festival opening and closing ceremonies
- Public celebrations and civic events
- Waterfront and rooftop galas

9. Laser Dance Show Backed By Bespoke LED Drumming
Lasers need something to hit. Without rhythm driving them, even the most sophisticated light programme starts to feel like a screensaver.
Pairing our Laser Dance Show with a Bespoke LED Drummer solves that instantly. The percussion sets the tempo, the beams cut on the downbeat, and the dancers work inside the beam field rather than in front of it. Your audience feels the show in their chest before they process what they are watching.
Custom performance hire covers both acts under one call sheet, so the timecode and the choreography are rehearsed together rather than separately. This combination is one of the best sets for brand reveal entertainment ideas.
Ideal for
- Product launches
- Award ceremonies
- Conference openers
- Brand activations

8. Laser Violin Incorporated Into Visual Mapping Shows
Projection-led shows can be extraordinary and still leave a room slightly cold. Everything is happening on a surface, and there is nobody to connect with.
Placing a Laser Violin Show inside a Visual Dance Mapping Show fixes that. You get a live musician as the human focal point, mapped visuals responding to the melody around her, and dancers moving through the projection field so the imagery has depth rather than sitting flat on a wall.
It is a strong choice for ballroom spaces, where the ceiling height rules out aerial work but you still need something that fills the room.
Ideal for
- Gala dinners
- Ballroom conferences and dinners
- Indoor product reveals
- Themed corporate celebrations

7. LED Dance Show Bouncing Off Mirror Dancers
This is the most literal combination on our list, and one of the most cost-effective ways to make a mid-size venue feel considerably larger than it is.
Our Spectacular LED Dance Show generates the light. Our Mirror Dance Group reflects it back into the room. Every beam thrown by the LED performers is caught by a mirrored costume and scattered across the walls, the ceiling and your guests themselves.
The effect is that the show physically extends past the stage edge. Your audience is not watching a performance in front of them; they are standing inside it. It is one of the simplest bespoke entertainment ideas to stage, and one of the most effective for its cost.
Ideal for
- Brand activations
- Influencer events
- Nightclub and venue takeovers
- Exhibition stands and trade shows

6. DJ, Fire Dancer and Saxophonist
Most acts occupy a single slot in your running order. This combination is built to hold an entire evening.
An Immersive DJ Show anchors the night and keeps the floor moving. Our Flaming Saxophonist then lifts it somewhere a standard DJ set cannot reach — live brass cutting over the track, with fire effects breaking on the drop.
Because the fire element is built into the saxophone performance itself, you get the drama of a pyrotechnic moment without a separate act, a separate call time or a separate set of rigging requirements. These are bespoke performers in the truest sense: the act was configured for this kind of pairing.
Ideal for
- After-parties and late-night receptions
- Summer parties
- Festival and arena stages (Read – Festival Entertainment for Summer Events in 2026)
- Outdoor drinks receptions

5. Mountain Bike Stunt Show Choreographed To Live Band
A stunt demonstration is impressive. A stunt demonstration with a score is a show.
We time the runs in our Mountain Bike Stunt Show so that tricks land on the beat, then bring in one of our Live Bands to play the sequence rather than simply play alongside it. The music builds toward the biggest air, drops out for the technical work, and hits hard on the landing.
That structure is what separates it from a rolling demo. Your crowd stops watching individual tricks and starts following an arc, which holds attention across a much longer window — genuinely useful at a fan zone or family event where dwell time is the objective.
Ideal for
- Fan zones and sports activations
- Company fun days and family events
- Outdoor brand experiences
- Festivals and public celebrations

4. Immersive Projections and LED Circus Performers
There is a meaningful difference between performing in front of a projection and performing inside one.
Our Immersive Experience Projections can map an entire space — walls, floor, ceiling, sculptural installations. Introduce LED Circus Acts into that environment and the aerialists, acrobats, and cyr wheel performers become elements within the mapped world rather than visitors to it.
Handled well, this stops being entertainment your guests watch and becomes a space they move through. It is our default recommendation when a client wants a full venue takeover instead of a stage moment, and it sits naturally alongside our wider event production services.
Ideal for
- Immersive brand experiences
- Launch events and press previews (Read – Brand Activations vs Product Launches: What’s The Difference?)
- Cultural and civic installations
- Themed galas and anniversary events

3. Mermaids and Jet Ski Shows
Waterfront venues present a specific problem: the water is your greatest asset for roughly four hours of the day, and a large dark space for the rest of it.
This pairing covers both. A Real Event Mermaid works in daylight, close-up and interactive, generating the photographs your guests will actually post. As the light goes, our Pyrotechnic Jet Ski Show takes the same stretch of water and turns it into a finale, with riders trailing light across the surface and fireworks launching from the craft themselves.
One location, two completely different energies, and a natural narrative running from afternoon into night. Custom made event entertainment often works hardest when it solves a venue problem rather than simply filling a slot in the running order.
Ideal for
- Resort and hotel launches
- Public waterfront celebrations
- Opening and closing ceremonies
- Destination corporate events

2. James Bond Themed Stunt Show With Fire Dancers
Themed entertainment works best when the theme is doing structural work rather than just supplying costumes.
Our James Bond Stunt Show gives you a storyline — the pursuit, the confrontation, the escape — which means the performance has a beginning and an end rather than simply a duration. Bringing in our Blaze Fire Dancers for the closing sequence gives that story the explosive finish the genre demands.
The narrative is also what justifies the pairing to your guests. Two acts sharing a stage can feel arbitrary. Two acts sharing a plot does not.
Ideal for
- Themed gala dinners
- Casino nights and Bond-themed parties
- Film and television award ceremonies
- Milestone anniversary celebrations

1. Aerial Pianist And Gospel Choir Performers
Our top choice is not the loudest production on this list. It is the one that moved a room.
For the University of East London Summer Festival 2026, we combined an Aerial Pianist — a grand piano suspended above the audience, played live in mid-air — with a Gospel Choir performing at ground level beneath her.
The staging does something no single act manages. The piano gives you the visual spectacle and the vertical scale; the choir gives you volume, warmth and the human presence of a group singing together in front of you. When the two meet on the final chorus, the sound arrives from above and around your guests at the same moment.
It is the clearest example we have of what custom performance hire actually means. Neither element existed as a package. We built it for that event, for that audience, on that night — which is precisely the point of a bespoke production.
Ideal for
- Graduations and academic ceremonies
- Anniversary and legacy celebrations
- Awards finales
- Charity galas and fundraising dinners

Custom Made Event Entertainment
The ten ideas above share one principle: the show is more interesting than the sum of its bookings.
Drones become memorable when a live musician plays beneath them. Lasers become memorable when a drummer drives them. A suspended piano becomes unforgettable when a choir answers it from the floor. In every case, the value sits in the combination and in the production work that holds it together.
That is what we do. We are not simply an entertainment supplier passing on availability — we design, produce and manage the show, from the first concept sketch through to the final cue on the night. If none of these ten is quite right for your event, that is fine. They are illustrations of an approach, not a menu.
Tell us what your event needs to achieve and who is in the room, and our team will design the bespoke entertainment to match.

FAQs Related To Bespoke Entertainment and Show Ideas
Book bespoke production shows at least three to six months ahead. Bespoke work needs time for concept development, casting, custom costume or content production, rehearsal and technical plotting.
Yes. Bespoke performers can be branded through costume design in your colours, LED panels displaying your logo, projected content mapped to your creative, and choreography timed to a reveal. For launches we build the branding into the show’s structure, so your logo lands at the production’s peak rather than as an afterthought.
The main variables are the number of performers, rigging and structural requirements, AV and lighting specification, rehearsal time, venue access and travel. Custom made event entertainment involving aerial work, water or pyrotechnics carries additional safety, licensing and crew costs. Our team will scope a production to your budget before design work begins.
Standard act hire books an existing performance as it already exists. Bespoke entertainment is designed for your event — acts combined, costumes branded, music scored and choreography built to your brief. Custom performance hire therefore includes design and rehearsal time, not just the performance itself.
