Top 5 Christmas Elves for Hire
Christmas elves bring instant character, colour and interaction to a festive event. However, elf hire can offer much more than traditional grotto helpers.
Today’s Christmas elf entertainment can include skilled acrobats, circus performers, comedy characters and illuminated walkabout acts. The right performers can welcome guests, entertain queues, animate a shopping centre or create a memorable focal point at a corporate Christmas party.
Here are five distinctive Christmas elves for hire, with options for corporate events, public celebrations, retail activations, Christmas markets and Santa’s grottos.
What Is Christmas Elf Hire?
Christmas elf hire is the booking of professional festive performers to entertain, welcome or interact with guests at a Christmas event.
Elf entertainers may perform comedy, circus skills, acrobatics, stilt walking or roaming character work. They can support Santa’s grottos, corporate parties, shopping centres, light switch-ons, parades and other Christmas events.
The most suitable act will depend on your venue, audience, available space and whether you need roaming entertainment or a scheduled performance.
1. Christmas Clown Elves
Our Christmas Clown Elves combine vibrant festive styling with interactive circus skills.
Depending on the performance, their skills can include juggling, hula hooping, roller skating, contact-ball work and bubbleology. Their detailed costumes and playful characters make them particularly effective when you want entertainment that guests will immediately notice.
These elves for hire work well at:
- Corporate Christmas parties
- Shopping centres
- Town-centre celebrations
- Retail activations
- Festive family events
They can move through the venue, interact with different groups and pose for photographs, making them a flexible option for events without a fixed stage.

2. The Comedy Elves
Our Comedy Elves specialise in festive tomfoolery and playful guest interaction.
The duo can mingle with audiences, share jokes, pose for photographs and help build anticipation around a Santa meet-and-greet. They can also perform as stilt walkers, giving organisers the option of increasing their visibility at parades and larger public events.
Comedy elf hire is particularly suitable for:
- Santa’s grotto experiences
- Christmas parades
- Corporate parties
- Traditional Christmas events
- Winter Wonderland celebrations
Their friendly, family-focused approach makes them a natural choice when entertainment needs to support the atmosphere without interrupting the wider event.

2. Christmas Presents Walkabout Elves
For outdoor events or evening celebrations, the Christmas Presents Act offers something wonderfully unexpected.
Two cheeky elves glide through the event on illuminated Christmas presents, using cleverly concealed Segways. The combination of movement, comedy and LED lighting helps the act remain visible in busy environments and after dark.
This Christmas elf hire option is particularly well suited to:
- Christmas light switch-ons
- Festive parades
- Christmas markets
- Shopping centres
- Public winter events
The illuminated presents create a strong visual effect while the performers interact with families and bring energy to a larger event space.

3. Elf Circus Show
Our Elf Circus Show combines comedy, acrobatics and festive character entertainment.
The duo performs on a moving lollipop lyra stage, creating a colourful circus spectacle that can travel through an event or become a scheduled show. One of the performers has also appeared with Cirque du Soleil, bringing considerable professional circus experience to the performance.
The act is an excellent choice for:
- Shopping-centre entertainment
- Christmas parades
- BID events
- Corporate family days
- Large public celebrations
This option works particularly well when you want the mobility of a walkabout act with the impact and skill of a circus show.

4. Christmas Acrobat Elves
The Christmas Acrobat Elves bring genuine circus ability to festive promotions and events.
Their possible skills include contortion, hand balancing, juggling and hula hooping. The performance can be customised, allowing organisers to select skills and formats suited to the available space and audience.
These Christmas elves are ideal for:
- Corporate Christmas entertainment
- Shopping-centre activations
- Festive product launches
- Meet-and-greet experiences
- Family Christmas events
They are especially valuable when a client wants traditional festive characters presented with a more polished, high-impact performance.
Which Christmas Elves Should You Hire?
Choose your Christmas elves according to the experience you want to create.
For highly interactive roaming entertainment, consider the Christmas Clown Elves or Comedy Elves. For evening events and illuminated outdoor spaces, the Christmas Presents Walkabout Elves provide a stronger visual effect.
If performance skill is the priority, the Elf Circus Show and Christmas Acrobat Elves combine festive character work with professional circus disciplines.
You should also consider:
- Whether the act will perform indoors or outdoors
- The age range and number of guests
- Whether you need walkabout sets or a scheduled show
- The amount of available performance space
- Visibility within a busy venue
- Opportunities for photographs and guest interaction
- How the act complements your wider Christmas theme
